Short biographical note

Dr. Ayselin Yildiz is Assistant Professor of International Relations at Yasar University (Izmir/Turkey). Dr. Yildiz holds her Ph.D in international relations and MSc in European Studies from Middle East Technical University. She has been the Director of Yasar University European Union Center between 2005 and 2015. She has held research fellowships at Wageningen University (NL), University of California Berkeley and University of Pittsburgh. Her areas of focus include migration and refugee studies, Turkey-EU relations, and external relations of the EU. Dr. Yıldız has coordinated and engaged in several EU funded projects and she holds Jean Monnet Module titled “EU Grants and Project Management”. She is the author of European Union’s Immigration Policy: Managing Migration in Turkey and Morocco published by Palgrave Macmillan.
