Short biographical note

Prof. Dr. Nazif Mandacı is currently a member of Izmir Yasar University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of International Relations. He received his MA and Ph.D Degrees in international relations from Ankara Bilkent University and Ankara University respectively. His research covers basically contemporary Balkan politics and conflict resolution through the perspectives of ethnic conflict and minority problems, institutional aspects of post-conflict peace building, reconciliation, conflict transformation, political integration problems and power-sharing systems. He also ran additional research on a variety of issues including Turkish foreign policy, consolidation of democracy in Turkey, popular right parties, immigration and recently theoretical aspects regarding soft/smart power and land grabbing.
