Short biographical note

Dr. Charalambos Tsardanidis received his M.SC and Ph.D from the London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London (1983). He is the Director of the Institute of International Economic Relations. He has been elected recently as Associate Professor at the Department of Mediterranean Studies, Aegean University. He has taught at the Diplomatic Academy of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Public Administration School, the Hellenic Open Universit,  the Panteion  University, the University of Piraeus and  Harokopeion University. From 1986-1989 he worked as Research Associate at the Foundation for Mediterranean Studies, Athens and from 1989-1992 at the Hellenic Centre for European Studies. In the same period he was Head of the programme for Eastern and Central Europe at the Institute of International Relations, Panteion University. Author of ten books and co-editor   of eight. He has published more than one hundred   scientific articles in  edited volumes and in scientific journals including European Review of Foreign Affairs, Journal of Common Market Studies, Journal of European Integration, Journal of Political and Military Sociology, Journal of Area Studies, Geopolitics, Ethnopolitics, Southern European Yearbook, Le Courrier des Pays de l’ Est, Perceptions, Hellenic Studies, and others.
