The department of Political Science and International Relations offers quality studies leading to degree qualification for all tiers of Higher Education, in tandem with the department’s scope and its objective to serve science and to contribute to society, the community and employment opportunities.

Studying Political Science and International Relations is as relevant as ever. Politics and International relations are the epicenter of events taking place all over the world, as well as in Greece – Our department has the staff, the prospect, the structure, the experience, the intent and the objective to serve these; and it excels in doing so.

The University of the Peloponnese was founded by Presidential Decree in 2000 and began operating in 2002 based in Tripoli. It is active in the 5 capitals of the Prefectures of the Peloponnese Region (Tripoli, Corinth, Nafplio, Sparta, Kalamata) and in Patras. It consists of 9 Schools and 22 Departments. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral studies as well as lifelong learning training activities. The main goal of the University of the Peloponnese is the creative contribution to the development of higher education in the Greek region with high quality standards that meet the content of studies, research and teaching to the requirements of a modern academic institution both national and international.
