Short biographical note
Delphine Pagès-El Karoui is a Senior Lecturer in Geography at INALCO, affiliated with CERMOM (Center for Mediterranean Middle East Studies). Her current research addresses Egyptian migration (diasporas, imaginaries in literature and cinema, transnational networks) to Europe and the Gulf from a comparative perspective. She has also published papers about the spatial dimensions of Arab revolutions and coordinates a book on Arab revolutions. She is co-editing for Revue Européennes des Migrations Internationales (REMI), a special issue on Migrations and Arab revolutions. Her fieldworks are Egypt, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and France. She is the coordinator with Stéphane Sawas (INALCO) of the research project, “Imaginaires Migratoires”, that explores cinematic and literary fictions of migration. Main recent publications: M.
