The Centre for Mediterranean, Middle East and Islamic Studies (CEMMIS) of the Depatment of Political Science and International Relations, University of the Peloponnese will hold a Young Scholars’ Workshop on “20 Years Since the Invasion of Iraq”, on September 29, 2023, in Athens.

Qualifications / requirements:
PhD Candidates
Post-Doctoral Researchers (PhD acceptance date must be after January 1, 2013)
Presentations’ themes:
2023 marks the 20th anniversary of the US invasion of Iraq. The workshop intends to focus on its impact on the Middle Eastern region and international politics from different disciplines. Hence, the themes and proposals to be presented at the workshop should relate to the fields of international relations, area studies, history, foreign policy, geopolitics, comparative politics, culture, religion, conflict studies and radicalization. The proposal submission should be a work in progress not yet published.
Presentations will be 15-20 minutes + 10 minutes of Q&A (either in Greek or English).
