Short biographical note

Georgios Maris studied Public Administration at the Panteion University Athens and received his Ph.D. in Political Science and International Relations at the University of the Peloponnese. He was awarded an MA with Merit in European Studies at Kings College London and an MSc with Distinction in Political, Economic and International Relations at University of the Aegean. He is also Academic Coordinator of Neapolis PhD Program. He has published in leading international academic journals including Journal of Contemporary European Studies and Perspectives on European Politics and Society. His courses at both the undergraduate and post-graduate level have covered a large number of different sub-disciplines: Political Science, International Relations, Political Economy, Economic Governance, European Studies, and European Political Economy. Among other he has served as a Consultant in Task Force for Greece (European Commission) for the provision of technical assistance to the Greek authorities to support the establishment and implementation of an action plan for an effective SME policy in Greece. His research interests include European and Global Political Economy, EU Politics, Greek Politics, Public Policy, and Governance.
