Short biographical note

Mario NEVE, geographer, teaches Cultural Geography, Geography of the Mediterranean, and Geography of Historic Towns and Landscapes at the Department of Cultural Heritage (DBC) of the University of Bologna, Ravenna Campus. He has been visiting scholar at the York University of Toronto, at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and the Centre for Advanced Studies of the Institute for Social and European Studies Foundation in Köszeg (Hungary). He has published many works, among which Virtus loci (1999), Itinerari nella geografia contemporanea (2004). His latest book is Il disegno dell’Europa. Costruzioni cartografiche dell’identità europea (Europe’s design. Cartographic buildings of European identity, 2016), in which his main research topics and interests merge.
