The Department of Political Science and International Relations (PEDIS) of the University of Peloponnese has been operating since the academic year 2007-2008 under Presidential Decree 118/2003 (Government Gazette 102, issue A') and belongs to the School of Social and Political Sciences based in Corinth. The first students were admitted in the academic year 2007-2008. The aim of the Department is to provide students with an excellent scientific training in the fields of Political Science, International Relations, International Political Economy, Area Studies, New Technologies, International and European History, Culture, Law, Sociology and Philosophy. The Programme of Undergraduate Studies (PPS) of PEDIS aims to provide graduates of the Department with qualifications that are recognised for students of the first cycle of higher education. These qualifications that are cultivated and highlighted are compatible with the Level Six (6) Indicators of the National and European Qualifications Framework. In general, the central purpose of the MPA is the systematic academic education and the excellent scientific training of the students of the PEDIS in the fields of "Political Science" and "International Relations" and their interdisciplinary interconnection with International Political Economy, Area Studies, Cultural Studies, Contemporary History, Sociology, Philosophy, Law and Information Systems...
Since 2012-2013, the Department has been organizing Postgraduate Programmes of Studies, which cover contemporary issues and fully respond to the need to acquire new knowledge and skills. The Department has gained excellent experience in this field, constantly improving the quality of studies with new courses, high quality teaching staff and new collaborations with Departments and Universities abroad and in Greece...
