The PSIR Debate Club was founded in 2018 and maintains a dynamic presence in the field of rhetoric. The art of rhetoric is much more than just words – it is a source of power, confidence, and personal skill development.
Through weekly training, simulated rhetoric matches, participation in training seminars, and interactive workshops, members develop their public speaking skills. With close ties and connections to recognized university Debate Clubs such as the Debate Club of the Athens School Of Law, the Thessaloniki School Of Law, the Athens University Of Economics and Business, and the Athens School Of Philosophy, the Club offers an extensive platform for development, exchange of ideas and networking. The result is the participation in debate championships and, indicatively, the distinction in the finals of the Athens Law School Debate Club Championship in 2023.
Participation in the PSIR Debate Club does not require any experience or existing appeal in rhetoric. It requires only an interest in engaging in the art, a willingness to develop valuable life skills and tools in public speaking, and an interest in participating in a vibrant and evolving space with a supportive and hyperactive community.
During the winter term of the academic year 2023-2024, practices will be held on Tuesdays from 13:00-14:15.
