Manoli Panagiota
The course is an introduction to International Political Economy - the interaction of international politics and international economy. Politics and economics, the domestic and the international, constitute a single integrated reality according to which we perceive, understand and analyze the contemporary complex international system. Students at a first level come into contact with the main theoretical approaches to International Political Economy. At a second level, special topics are analyzed with emphasis on the formation and manifestations of the international economic system from World War II to the present day. Students study economic issues of trade, finance, production and development from the perspective of the international political economy.
