8th AfriquEurope's International Conference at Saint-Louis - Senegal: 27 & 28 March 2026

Te 8th International Conference organized by PSIR in collaboration with Université Gaston Berger de Saint-Louis and GERM laboratory: Laboratory for Studies and Research on Gender, Environment, Religion and Migration within the framework of the AfriquEurope project was held in Saint-Louis, Senegal, on March 27 and 28, 2026, with the theme::
Migrations and Climate in Africa:
Emerging Dynamics
and Future Challenges.

In the context of the conference, members of the PSIR Department held separate meetings in Dakar, with the Greek Ambassador to Senegal, Mr. Antonios Haziroglou, and with the Ambassador and Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Senegal, Mr. Jean-Marc Pisani. The meeting was attended by the Head of the PSIR Department, Professor A. Chouliaras, Professor V. Lalagianni, Associate Professor P. Manoli, and the collaborating member to the AfriquEurope project, Professor D. Sotiropoulos of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
The AfriquEurope project coordinated by PSIR, is the larger (in number of partners) European collaboration program between European and African universities in the social sciences.
