Course Description

The course approaches the field of digital political behavior in a combined and interdisciplinary manner. In order to achieve this goal, applied political communication is presented in the light of political marketing, and the observation of the behavior of digital actors on social media with political content is presented. Emphasis is placed on the concepts of the digital transition of the political market and the political consumer. In addition, students are familiarized with the basic principles of political and digital marketing. The basic strategies of political marketing and the relevant methodologies of digital marketing are presented. The importance of communication and marketing is highlighted both during the pre-election period as well as during the governmental terms.  Finally, the relationship and consequences of digital political marketing on the functioning of democracy are analyzed.
