Research and Methods in Social Sciences introduces first-year students to the ways research is conducted and knowledge is produced in the social sciences. In addition to outlining the fundamentals of qualitative methods, the course examines key aspects of the philosophy of social sciences. It also provides practical guidelines for scholarly research and writing, covering literature review, conceptual framework, data collection and analysis, hypothesis testing, argument crafting, discussion of findings, and proposals for future research.
