This course provides an introduction to the theory and study of political parties and party systems. Its aim is to familiarize students with basic concepts and methodological approaches to the phenomenon of political parties. It analyzes fundamental aspects of this phenomenon, such as party functions, relationships with society, the state, and democracy, party families, organizational types of parties, and party systems.
