The dept. of Political Science and International Relations awarded the title of Honorary Professor to Prof. Prokopis Pavlopoulos, President of the Hellenic Republic since 13 March 2015, thus honoring his long standing an multifaceted contibution to Science and the Hellenic society as a whole.
The ceremony took place in the amphitheatre “Georgios Samios” at the Municipal theatre of Korinthos on 22nd of May 2015.
The ceremony was attended by a number of local and national officials, the members of staff of the department of Political Science and International Relations, members of the School of Social and Political Sciences, students and members of the gegeral public, while the Hellenic Government was represented by the Minister of Education, Prof. Baltas.
Obviously touched by the award ceremony, Prof. Pavlopoulos’ honorary lecture was on the deadlock between national and european constitutions and law, and the scientific and political requirements necessary for the harmonious coexistense of national and european constitutions.
Thus, the department of Political Science and International Relations welcomes Prof. Pavlopoulos as a “colleague” and wishes him success in his mission as a President of the Hellenic Republic during this critical period for the Greek nation.
